ICD Surgery This Week

This will be a busy week for me. Tomorrow I am participating in the presentation to the FDA about ARVC. (I previously mentioned the work I am doing with SADS in the ARVC Advocacy post.) The goal is to educate the FDA about ARVC so they can make informed decisions while approving drugs and treatments.

Then I have ICD replacement surgery on Thursday. I feel better about the surgery than I was when I wrote the previous post. I remembered the past two ICD surgeries were much more involved because I had leads extracted which is a big deal and adds complexity to the procedure. I am optimistic this surgery will seem like breeze!

So any positive thoughts you can send on Thursday would be appreciated. Thanks, all!
